I strongly advise against seeking treatment at this establishment. Tracy the receptionist and Dr. Catherine McGrogan are unprofessional and unresponsive. On several occasions Tracy indicated that she would call to either verify or confirm an appointment time that we had established and then would not call. Come the day of the appointment, when I arrived, she informed me that because she hadn't called to verify, that she had cancelled my appointment. Tracy and Dr. Catherine McGrogan also do not provide adequate notification of whether or not they are in network or out of network with a specific insurance provider. Their website indicates that my insurance is in network and during my first appointment they informed me that they were in network. After four months of appointments they indicated that my insurance had not been covering the sessions. At that time Tracy stated they were still in network. I contacted my insurance company who informed me that they were in fact out of network and that they should have provided me with official/formal notification of any change to the insurance providers they work with. I was never provided with any form of notification. Four months of appointments had passed, at which point I stopped seeing Dr. McGrogan as she was no longer in network. Tracy informed me that the office would write-off the amount due because proper notification had never been provided. This was in February 2016. In July 2016, I received a threatening letter in the mail from Dr. McGrogan stating that although appropriate notification had not been provided I still owed over $400. Dr. McGrogan threatened that if payment was not made within 10 days that she would be filing in small claims court of our county. I had called twice within the past month requesting that Dr. McGrogan and/or Tracy call me back to explain why they would no longer be writing-off the amount due. At no point did either of them return my calls. I spent hours on the phone with my insurance provider to try and address the situation to no avail. Each time I had visited her I had paid my regular co-pay. At no point during the four month period did they indicate that they were no longer in network. For these reasons, I strongly advise against seeking treatment from Dr. McGrogan. The care provided to me was sub-par and the manner in which they run their office is extremely unprofessional. I would not recommending trusting them with your medical or financial information.
If I could give a lower rating I would went here a few years back and this “doctor” after maybe five minutes into my session explaining past health issues (in my genetics by the way not hereditary) points the finger at my mother in the room with me because I was underage and it was just a consult appointment and says she’s the reason I’m sick and why my mental state is a wreck basically verbally abusing my caretaker and biggest supporter she breaks down into tears and we walk out. NEVER have a been so disgusted in a healthcare provider. Do not go here please go somewhere else!
