These people are friendly enough and nice to talk to for the most part. I only dealt with the mother and daughter team. They seemed socialble enough. But, keep in mind that they are human beings just like the rest of us. Their listings leave a little bit to be desired in terms of accuracy and mentioning important details. If you're a renter be very careful. Make sure you compare their listing with everything that you see and what you read. And inspect everything before you sign when you're in their office. Especially if you have pets. There were a couple of things that didn't match up with the listing. But, what I wasn't expecting was that they are very anti-pet with their rentals. None of their rental listings say anything about it, but they are. They mentioned that pets weren't allowed later on after viewing a particular property. I asked for clarification since I'd JUST seen animals in the house which I was interested in so they said they'd get back with me on it. After all, what I saw on the ad, what I saw in the house and what they were telling me at their office simply wasn't matching up. I'd already filled out the applications and submitted them. And they called back later on and said that I'd passed the credit screening and that everything was good. But, when I went back the next day to sign the lease, it specifically stated "Aboslutely no pets!". When I asked about this, they first tried to play the "Well, let's give it a few months into your lease so we'll get to know you." bit. Knowing full well that what was on the lease didn't say anything about any probationary clause for pets, I merely put the pen down and asked that we get further clarification (preferably on the lease) since I was seeing and hearing a lot of inconsistencies. I was ready and willing to openly negotiate. But, I got the distinct impression at that point that it wasn't up for discussion UNLESS I was interested in buying a house. They basically just wanted my money and weren't interested in following up with me regarding other rental options where pets are allowed, which tells me that's pretty much their policy. Then they said they didn't know if they could give me my deposit back. I had to wait a day to come pick it up, which was done at the front desk and the reps wouldn't even come out to speak to me. They were likely looking for a reason to keep it or were hoping that I'd give in and sign anyway. Needless to say, I personally don't intend to deal with these people in the future. I'm not saying that this will be your experience. I'm just saying to be very careful. Read over everything and make sure you get copies of anything that you sign. You'll very likely need it later on. If their listing doesn't match up with what you see and what they say doesn't match up with what's on paper, don't sign! And if you do bring it up a discrepancy, don't be too surprised if they aren't very cooperative to do something about it. That is all. Have a nice day.
