We chose this establishment by chance; the other location we called was booked. From our first step in the house, we felt welcomed and apart of the house. The room presented was spacious and had its own bathroom. Andy, the owner, offered us wine and cheese, but we declined as we were heading out to eat and explore. Upon returning in the evening, Mel, the other owner, greeted us as he chatted with guests in the living room. He opened a bottle of wine and lavished us with cake and ice cream. It was the most relaxing evening I have had in some time. In the morning, we opened our door and found a coffee tray. Breakfast was superb as well. We will return here when we are in the area, as we feel like we now have family here.
We had a wonderful time. The home was beautiful and clean. The Inn keepers Mel and Andy made us feel like we part of their family. The breakfast was wonderful and I ate way too much. Elizabeth city such a friendly town. Met more people there in one night than I have in a year at home in Hampton Roads. What a wonderful surprise.
Mel and Andy made our very first bed and breakfast exprience a very memorable one! The room and views are absolutely beautiful as well as the relaxing atmosphere. They go out of their way to make you as comortable as possible. You may arrive as strangers but leave as friends! Thank you so much Mel and Andy! We will be back to visit again.

As a non-guest to this establishment I had a wonderful experience. My family members came in for a weekend and informed us that even I and my little family was able to join them for wine and cheese in the evenings. I wanted to see the beautiful house and decor so I jumped at the chance and both Andy and Mel were as hospitable as if we were family to them. I have already recommended this elegant place to others in hopes they get to experience a beautiful and family like home.
